What is chain of custody in medical delivery?

Chain of custody is the documented record of who held an item, when, and where, unbroken from the moment it leaves the dispensing or collection site to the moment someone receives it. NoazRX records custody as a sequence of events rather than as a single delivery status: barcode scans at pickup and at handoff, driver identity, timestamps, tote and seal references, exception notes, and the signature or photo captured at the door. NoazRX documents chain of custody and produces audit-ready records of it; it does not certify chain of custody, and it does not replace a pharmacy’s own controlled-substance obligations.

Delivery proof and documentation
